Jeegujje Podi / Raw Breadfruit Bonda

Recipe: Jeegujje Podi / Raw Breadfruit Bonda

Ingredients - 

Breadfruit , seeds and stem removed, cut into triangles 

Rice soaked for 3-4 hours - 1 cup

2 red chilli

1 spoon jaggery 

2 spoon tamarind juice 

Salt 

1 big spoon besan 

1 pinch Hing

Baking soda 1 pinch


Grind soaked rice, red chilli, salt, hing, tamarind and jaggery to a fine paste. 

Add besan and adjust consistency to form the batter. 


Heat oil in a Kadai, dip breadfruit pieces into the batter and deep fry in medium heat.
