Recipe: Kaashaaya

Recipe 1: Karthik
- Ginger, pepper, onion, jaggery and turmeric.
- Thinly slice ginger and cut onion. Add black pepper (cracked) to 3 cups of water
- Once it comes to boil, keep low flame and let it reduce to 1/4th
- Add little water, add jaggery and bit of turmeric.
- Let it boil till jaggery dissolves.
- Strain and mix with milk
Recipe 2: Pratibha
- 3tbsp coriander seeds
- 1tsp jeera
- 1tsp crushed pepper
- 1 inch ginger (grated)
- 2 cloves
- 3 cups water
Boil the above ingredients. Bring it to 1/2 the quantity. Add jaggery towards the end. Strain and add milk if needed.
