Kaayi huLi
Recipe: Ashgourd Kaayi Huli / Boodakumbala Kaayi Huli

Ingredients -
1 cup diced boodaKumbala
Half cup grated fresh coconut
1/2 spoon rice
1/2 spoon jeerige
2 green chili
1/2 cup curd
Salt
for oggarne
Coconut oil
Mustard seeds
Jeera
Procedure -
Soak 1/2 spoon rice and 1/2 spoon jeerige for 30 minutes in a small cup
grind coconut, green chili, soaked rice and jeerige into smooth paste
cook/boil ashgourd till it gets cooked (turns translucent)
add salt and adjust salt taste accordingly
add ground masale
boil for 5 minutes till it Huli starts to get thicken
turn off the stove
add curd and mix
add the sasive, jeerige and curry leaves oggarne
