Bajil

Recipe: Bajil - a variety of paper avalakki made mostly in South Canara region.

Ingredients 

Paper avalakki 2 cup

Saarina pudi - 1 spoon

Sugar - 1 spoon.

Salt - to taste

Grated coconut - half cup


For oggarne

Coconut oil / any oil

Mustard seeds

Kadle beLe

Uddin beLe

Curry leaves

Hing

2 small pieces of dry red chilli


Process:

Prepare oggarne 

Mix Avalakki, Coconut, Saarina pudi, salt, sugar, oggarne.

Add 2/3 spoons of water if avalakki is too dry. 


Serve with curd. 

This goes well with upma.
