Recipe: Nimbe haNNu saaru

Nimbehannina Saaru/ Lemon Rasam 

1 small cup pressure cooked n well mashed toor dal. ( separate the daal n kattu) 

For Seasoning, 

2 tsp ghee 

1/4 tsp - saasive

1/4 tsp black pepper powder( not too coarse, not too fine) 

1/2 tsp Jeerige 

3 green chillies slit 

Huli tomato finely chopped 

1/2 inch ginger grated 

Curry leaves finely chopped 

Hing n Turmeric a pinch


Season the above ingredients and pour the daal water( bele kattu) & regular water &bring it to boil. Boil for good 3 to 4 minutes then add mashed daal and salt, 1/2 lemon juice and boil for 2 more minutes adjusting the consistency. Finally garnish with coriander leaves.
