Recipe: Bangarpet Pani Puri

Ingredients for Pani 

1.water approximately 1- 1 1/2lts

ನೀರು

2.Garlic 8 pods

ಬೆಳ್ಳುಳ್ಳಿ

3.Ginger-2inch 

ಶುಂಠಿ

4.Green chillies 8-10

ಹಸಿರು ಮೆಣಸು

5.Black Salt 3tsp(kala namak)

6.Salt-Accordingly

ಉಪ್ಪು

7.Lemon Salt 3tsp

ನಿಂಬೆ ಉಪ್ಪು

8.Pepper 10

ಮೆಣಸು

9.Cinnamon 1inch

ದಾಲ್ಚಿನ್ನಿ

10.Sugar 1tsp

ಸಕ್ಕರೆ

11.Jeera 2spoon

ಜೀರಿಗೆ

12.saunf 4tsp

ಸೊಂಪು


Topping for poori 

Grated carrot,onion,Corriander,salt and lemon .

Soak peas overnight and boil with salt . 


Preparation of Pani 

1.Put Jeera , Black salt ,salt ,lemon salt,saunf , cinnamon,sugar,pepper in the mixer jar.Make fine powder of all dry ingredients.

2.Now add green chillies and garlic in mixer and just pulse once . Make sure green chilles and garlic should not grind but just get mixed with the powder .

3. Add this mixture to a cloth , tie well and drop it in water ( I used 1and 1/2 liters of water )

4. Refrigerate for 5-6 hrs or overnight.

Now Pani is ready .


Assemble poori . Add grated carrot ,onion ,Corriander ,salt on poori and drizzle lemon juice.


Serve Pani in a cup . 


Tasty bangarpet Pani poori is ready .


Note :Never grind green chillies and garlic completely. Just one pulse should do the wonder .
